What we offer
We are able to support and advise UK Government, Regional Development Agencies, Train to Gain, Sector Skills Councils, Learning and Skills Councils, regional and local Skills for Life units, and other agencies on all aspects of workplace literacy, language and numeracy development.
We have a successful track record in working across all areas of workplace Skills for Life (SfL), including:
- increasing SfL and vocational attainment, progression, employability and job effectiveness through embedded workplace SfL programmes
- increasing employer demand for, and investment in workplace SfL development
- enabling providers to respond effectively to the needs of employers and employees
- designing, implementing and managing national and regional projects, including piloting innovative approaches to workplace SfL development
- developing and facilitating strategic and whole organisation approaches for regions, local areas and individual organisations
- providing guidance and support for embedding literacy, language and numeracy in recruitment, induction, appraisals and workplace learning
- carrying out audits and diagnostic reviews
- creating professional development training modules, toolkits, and reference materials, including web-mediated tools
- championing excellence and enabling the exchange of practice through seminars, conferences and web platforms
- researching and piloting evaluation and impact methodology
- promoting economic and social benefits that flow to individuals and employers from workplace SfL development
- promoting social inclusion and the development of workforces representative of the community
- preparing project funding applications

Projects
Project managing Phase 2 of the Embedding SfL in London Local Authorities Project on behalf of the London Development Agency (LDA), working with 11 Authorities.
Working with the SW Skills for Life Unit and SW Train to Gain on raising employer awareness of SfL in the region.
Designed, developed, and promoted the Provider Toolkit website for workplace SfL practitioners on behalf of The Network.
