Alison Noel is co-Founder and Director of Skills for Work Ltd. Her specialisms include expert and process consultancy, strategy development and action planning, employer and employee engagement, needs analysis and evaluation. Alison has a Post Graduate Diploma in the Management of Human Resource Development. She has over 15 years experience in project management in workplace literacy, language and numeracy and has been the manager of Oxfordshire County Council’s Basic Skills at Work programme, Field Officer for the Basic Skills Agency and Director of the Workplace Basic Skills Network under contract to the Department for Education and Employment. Clients during her 6 years of freelance consultancy included NIACE, LSDA, LSC, the Basic Skills Agency and the Association of SE Colleges.
Dominic Rapley is co-Founder and Director of Skills for Work Ltd. His specialisms include a whole organisation approach to Skills for Life, embedded learning, professional development, materials development and workplace ESOL. He is an experienced teacher and teacher trainer in further and adult education and has postgraduate qualifications in teaching ESOL and in Applied Linguistics. He has been the Managing Director of a language training company, a Workplace Basic Skills Project Worker for Cambridge Regional College, and Training and Development Officer for the Workplace Basic Skills Network. Until recently he was Associate Editor for Basic Skills Professional development magazine.
